Speaking long term relationships...do you prefer condoms or the pill?

preferably the pill but it also depends on the man's (and woman's in the other case) sex history. If they have been promiscuous, I'd rather use condoms for a while and then after testing neg. after one year for HIV, we might consider not using them. If his history is okay then the pill.

the pill only protects against pregnancy and has a higher rate of effectiveness but doesnt protect about anything else. A condom protects the STDs and Yeast infections from spreading. But If its a long term relationship and you are both free of STDs and are faithful then pill will do just fine

You should use both for a while, at least a year. After you have been together exclusively for a while and have both tested negative for STIs. Then just use the pill.

Unfortunately for my boyfriend, the pill makes me vomit so it has to be condoms : (

I'm sorry, but the ONLY 'long term relationship' I'd be in we don't use EITHER ... but then I'm 'past menopause' and we don't 'have sex' anymore either ... but we are still 'lovers' in every way, and that is the 'long term relationship' I LOVE BEING IN!
