And I'm sure you're dizzy butt knows all it.

The best part is that people actually get to learn what's not taught in school. It's a pity that we can't just learn history in school: American history - all of the people that helped build this country to what it is. Blacks were not just slaves in this country. Contributions were made!

Your joke was not remotely funny.

The best part of Black History Month is the whole month and the fact that you get a chance to learn a great deal about how my people have contributed (and are contributing) to the whole of American society and the world. Take some time this month to find out about our culture (which is more than what you may see on television or hear on the radio). There are wonderful museum exhibits, books, films and events that celebrate the many things that we have accomplished (and are accomplishing) and taken part in whether it is in politics, in business or science, etc. This is a time when we also revisit our concerns about education, employment, housing, social justice and civil rights. I don't know where you live but you can find events in your local paper or local websites. Black History Month is more than slavery, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. speeches and rap music. and fried chicken (or whatever myth you have heard). Currently, we have a Black man running for president of the USA (some say mulatto, potayto, potahto). Get to know Barack Obama and other Black leaders who have run for president like Shirley Chisholm or Carol Moseley Braun. Find out about the inventions we've created and how we've participated in our country's armed forces. This is serious stuff. Maybe after you've read about things we've done, you may be a little more respectful of Black people. Take care:)

I don't like it at all. If there was a White History Month, we'd all be labeled as racists.

I don't understand the whole thing personally. If we had a "white history month" people would flip. Why can't we just learn History period?
