Consider going with something that your English teacher might know. One possibility would be "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen. Rock opera with good narrative to work with, and even musical symbolism (final gong sound symbolizing the character's entrance into Heaven, etc.).

Another possibility, might be "Into the Ocean" by Blue October. Pretty straight forward swiming/drowning metaphors for being overwhelmed by life.

Chop Suey! by System of a Down should give you enough to fill a short paper.

Hurt by Nine Inch Nails, also has some good allusion and symbolism that you might enjoy.

Good luck.

"Time" - Pink Floyd from the Dark Side of The Moon album. It's a good rock song with a killer guitar solo. The song itself is about how time passes and seems to only go by faster as we grow older.

look on the doors or some equivalent older rock. The doors have a lot of hidden meaning in Jim Morrison's lyrics, yet you'll be relatively psychological to seize his metaphors and such. (case in point, in the music "the top" he is going on an infamous rant approximately killing his father and such which will nicely be a connection with an historic Greek epic, the 'blue bus is looking us' he alludes to is a connection with the 'blue bus' in Veitnam conflict poems via William Caughly this is reported in terms of the protection rigidity draft, the seven mile long snake he alludes to is a connection with an previous community American representation of a "great snake with each physique and all activities from all cases, previous and cutting-edge meditated upon his scales).

Gone Away by the Offspring. i just wrote a report on it in my English class and got an A. Dexter wrote about the pain he was feeling after losing someone very close to him, and i related to that song, that's why i chose it.
