when your not wide open it wont run it will go a little bit and quit, but it runs great wide open

hi, sounds like the carb needs a strip and clean! try cleaning all the jets, make sure they are clear, clean the air filter and re adjust your throttle cable(s)..hope this helps..regards steve..

Could be all sorts of things but I'm inclined to think it may be a fuel issue...have you cleaned the air filter? Do you have good gas in it? Have you drained the float bowl on the bottom of the carb? Is the choke off? Gimmie some more info and I'm sure I can help you. Also try www.thumpertalk.com

Sounds like a stuck choke, a clogged air filter or one of the main jets is unscrewing in the body of the carburettor.

sounds like you have a clog in the carb somewhere, tear it down and give it a good cleaning. reassemble and try it again....
