I'm so glad you brought this up but have you also noticed that everybody goes to the cafe for a cup of tea, whats wrong with drinking tea at home? Sometimes they leave their house just to go to the cafe for some tea!! Crazy!!!. I think if they saved all the money they spend in the laundrette and buying cups of tea they would have a washing machine in no time!

Most of the houses in Walford would be worth half a million anyway - the Slaters for instance must be at least 4 bedrooms - a four bedroom house on a square with a private park, in London? I don't think Mo could afford the mortgage.
Also - why does everyone always go to the Vic or the club? They live in London for Gods sake - are there no other pubs? And why are most of them white? And why do you never see anyone in a Hijab or Niquab? (sorry spelling)

Good point! They must be a bunch of lazy slobs not doing their own laundry or just stuck in a time warp of the 60s. haha
I personally think Eastenders is rubbish and makes you feel depressed yet makes you feel better that everyone in the show seems to be even more depressed than you are! haha

Sad, I was thinking the same thing tonight. Where else would all that excitement that is 'Stenders take place. Anyone else think the laundrette could do with a visit from Changing Rooms?

I agree. Also, whenever any shop or house comes on the market, ANYONE - regardless of being unemployed for ten years - can always find 300 grand just like that.
Have you noticed that almost all the cast have expensive Barbados suntans?

If you notice there are very few who appear to own a tv set and if they do they never watch it, and although they live a few yards away they all go to the cafe for a cuppa or sandwich.

that is strange isn't it. Even the place I stay (particularly undesirable part of NW London), the three launderettes we did have, have all closed down interior the final 2 years. for sure everybody is paying for inexpensive white products from Curry's.
