Lasik eye surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and lasik surgery in India by a company called Forerunners Healthcare. The Price for dental and lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories.
They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

Lasik is expensive and not covered by insurance. The cost depends on the doctor and the place where it is done. Like all surgical procedures, Lasik surgery has some amount of risk. The skill of the surgeon is also important .More detail at http://eye-care.in/lasikeyesurgery.html

i've asked around my self and found out it can cost up to 1,700 per eye. pretty expensive. i was told by a friend that you can pay way less by going to monterrey mexico. some of the best surgeons in the world practice there with state of the art technology and the same sanitation procedures that we have in the U.S. and they charge way less. i have been thinking about it. if you decide to do it, you should go with someone and rent a hotel for a couple of days because you will have to sleep after surgery.
good luck

I've heard about average is $500 per eye, so about $1000 total. Be sure though you check out the place before you get anything done, especially if their prices seem a bit cheaper. I mean it's your eyes that are being dealt with; if they screw up you could be partially or fully blind. Credibility and true success stories mean a lot. If it gets you what you want, wouldn't you rather pay a little higher price? I know I would.

Around the Atlanta area, it's roughly 2k per eye. Four grand should cover it for both.
