Okay well i downloaded the sims 2 but when i try to play it it says:
"Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this
system! Please make sure you have DirectX 9.0c... yadda yadda yadda"
Well, I have DirectX 9.0c. i followed the help and it said to RUN:DXDIAG, so I did it. I went to 'display' and At the bottom, it says "The system is using a
generic video driver. Please install video driver provided by te hardware
manufacturer" AND "Direct3D functionality not available. You should verify
that the driver is a final version from the hardware manufacturer."
and i honestly have no idea what to do I just want to play sims 2 someone please help me!!

You have not installed the driver for the video card. Insert the CD that came with the card and follow the directions to install the driver. If you do not have a driver CD than look up the video card on the Internet and obtain the proper driver to be installed.

Find out your video card brand and series, then goto either
www.ati.com
or
www.nvidia.com
for the latest videocard drivers.
Downloading drivers from people other then the videocards brand's website is tricky.

sounds like a graphics card problem. your card may not be the specs needed to run this program. take it into geek squad and see what they have to say. good luck!

u need to google ur system model or find out wat type of graphics u have and get the driver thats it ...
