If you're interested and willing to put in the necessary work, I have an online business that might work for you. I can't give you a lot of details here since that might be construed as advertising but feel free to email me if you'd like more information and my website.

I am a jewelry dealer from Bangkok, Thailand. I need to fine someone who might want to do home base business without financial back up. All you need is a website that you can post my items for sales. You do the selling, receiving the money. I do the shipping – drop ship. If you are interested in working together, send me a note. I have PayPal account for this business.

First you should figure out what type of business you want to go into--do you want to sell something you create like jewelry or other crafts? Do you want to perform some service like computer repair or house maintenance? Do you want to distribute someone else's product? You can figure this out by writing down the things that you are good at and that you like to do, and try to figure out if any of those things are something that someone else will pay for. There isn't necessarily one kind of business that makes more than others. That will depend largely on what you are good at and how much people are willing to pay for it. For example, you might think it's easy to say that an auto mechanic might not make a lot of money, but then Jesse James turned his mechanic skills into building custom bikes that people are willing to pay lots of money for.

After you decide what type of business you want to start, you will likely want to put together a business plan. The business plan helps you figure out how you are going to start and grow your business. It also will likely be required if you want to apply for a business loan, and frequently if you want to take out a lease on a commercial property the property owner will want to see a business plan.

In order to write the business plan, ask yourself the following questions:

1. Who will you be competing against? Are there other people in your area who do the same thing? And if so, how will you be different?

2. Who will your customers be, and how will you continue to get them and keep them? How many customers do you think you can handle at once and how much do you think you will charge them?

3. Who will you need to help you? Do you need specialty suppliers to provide you with the materials you need? Will you need someone to help with accounting, advertising, taxes, or other skills you may not be proficient in?

4. What costs will you have, and where will you get the initial money to start up? How long will it take until you have enough customers and cash coming in to cover your expenses and provide you with a profit? How much profit do you expect to make on each item you sell or on each hour of your labor?

Think of this as defining your 4 C's (Competitors, Customers, Contributors, Costs)

Once you have answered those, write a business plan for yourself. You can find sample business plans here which you can model yours after: http://www.entrepreneur.com/services/sam... Have a couple people review it, especially other people who have gone into business for themselves. Talk to other people who own similar types of businesses to find out how they started and what challenges they have had to overcome. Also check out http://www.sba.gov for more info on starting and running small businesses.

As far as on-line businesses, they work pretty much the same as any other business. The main difference, though, is that you will obviously have most of your advertising and customer interaction through the web. You'll need to make sure you have a secure website to take orders on, or at minimum a phone number they can call to order items. You'll probably also want a way to track and bill your customers online. You won't have expenses like rent and maintenance, but you will have fees for domain names, hosted servers, e-mail addresses, etc.

Good luck with it!
