Size is not as important as technique. When you see players trying to tackle high on the body, you see tackles being broken. If you tie someone legs together they can not run and foward momentem and gravity is going to win that battle.

A 100 lb guy can hit just as hard as a 200 lb guy. All he has to do is run twice as fast. Why is this?

If you have a basket ball and a baseball, and you roll the basketball into the baseball, the baseball moves. Now if you have a basketball, and roll a baseball a little faster, the basketball will move. The basketball is bigger and heavier, but because you put enough froce behind the baseball you were able to move the basketball!

Same thing goes with people. If a big guy runs into you, you get run over. If you run twice as fast as the same guy, you will run the big guy over. (if you are 100 lbs, and you run twice as fast as a 200 lb guy, and you collide, there will be equal force and neither of you will move. Now have the 100 lb guy go just a little faster.)

Oh, and it's a good idea to get lower than the guy bigger than you. This way you can get more of your bodyweight behind the hit, and you can have more effect when you drive your legs.

one more thing.....DRIVE YOU LEGS!!! (sry, can't forget what coach said to me)

Go for the legs, it's the best way to tackle a larger person.

If you don't succeed, the person will either stumble and be disoriented, before another person comes and brings him down.

Hit low and take out the legs. Just by grabing one leg will usually be enough to destroy the guy's balance. At the very least, you can slow him down this way so your teammate can finish the job. Other than that your only hope is to throw your entire weight into the guy and hope that's enough.
