In July/August the South Ari Atoll will be great. The Hilton on Rangali Island and Angaga Island Resorts are wonderful. If you get some weather it will be rain for 2 hours during the day then the sun comes out -- that just becomes the time to go to the spa.

Be sure to take your snorkel and mask.

Hi Chelsea First off, Muaz has given a very good answer, from a personal point of view, and it looks like he registered here especially for you ! However, I feel I can add the following : 1. The weather does vary a little bit from N to S of the country, but nothing to bother about for the tourist. So general info for the country will be applicable, no matter where you will be staying. 2. You asked about March in particular. From experience, Feb & Mar are the hottest & driest months of the year - the rainy season tends to start at the end of April, with May-July being quite wet. (As Muaz said, we currently have May showers). 3. It can rain at any time of year, but it's unusual to get more than a few wet days in a row. You can of course still snorkel when it's cloudy, and you still get a suntan too ! It's also quite exciting to see a thunderstorm gathering over the sea on the horizon ! 4. When you look at the weather stats, remember that half of the rain obviously falls during the night, so the stats are not as bad as they might first appear. Also, it is still very warm all day and night - it's 25 degrees C even at 4am in the rain ! Finally, I have heard that Vilamendhoo has just closed for refurb, so when you get to go next year everything should be brand spanking new ! Hope this answers your question. Feel free to message me, or post more questions on here. Best wishes, and enjoy your holiday.
