Hi, I recently purchased a 512mb piece of memory for my laptop which already has 1 piece of 512mb. I shut the computer down and took out the battery and disconnected the power cord and removed the back memory case. I popped the memory into the open slot and put the case back on as well as connecting the power. When i turn the laptop on, i can hear the fan and see the power light on but nothing is on the moniter. Please help!!!

Go to www.crucial.com and check to see that you bought the correct version of memory for your laptop, also make sure your laptop can support 1gb memory. Easiest thing to do would be to make sure they are both inserted correctly. Take them out and put them back in again to make sure.

try this. take out the new memory. then try turning the laptop on. if that works, try taking old the old memory and putting the new memory into its place. turn the laptop on. if that doesn't work, then there is something wrong with your new memory. if it does work, try calling your laptop manufacturer and see why it won't work in that second slot. if the new memory is bad, you should be able to get your money back or get a new one. sometimes static can ruin your memory. always make sure you are grounded before handling memory. good luck!

The Razer Blade is a hideously overpriced laptop. to grant a assessment, that is not even besides specced as a 17" Macbook professional (GPU is a tad quicker, lesser CPU, tiny no longer easy force, extra RAM, yet RAM is inexpensive), yet that is somewhat extra costly than the Macbook professional! once you may no longer even tournament a Mac in fee-to-specs then you definately're somewhat doing something incorrect. you may get a miles better gaming laptop for a million/2 that fee! The Alienware is likewise hideously overpriced. What an utter comedian tale! you may desire to build that ingredient for decrease than a million/2 the fee! heavily, the two certainly one of them are an obscene ripoff. do no longer purchase the two. keep clever and you'll be able to get large overall performance for plenty decrease than the two of those.

Hi. Try re-seating the memory again. Dust can sometimes stop a connection from being made.

What kind of laptop do you have?
You could always phone the company and ask.
Did you get the same type of RAM? cause this affects it, you must get the exact same type of ram
