A few weeks ago my Fiance and I had unprotected sex so the next morning I bought the morning after pill and took it. Then (silly me) the next night we had unprotected sex again and I did not take the pill again. I was supposed to start my period on the 1st and have not started it yet. My stomach has hurt a little bit lately and I am very very irretiable (I've been catching an attitude very easyly lately). The thing is I have never had a regular period and we have one child as it is. I'm not asking for a doctors answer but just people's opinion. I can not take birth control pills because they make me sick. I wouldn't want to get pregnant because I wouldn't know which time I would have concieved and I wouldn't have wanted the morning after pill to affect the babies health.

it is possoble since its so so close to your period time. I've never taken that pill before so I dont know what the effects are or how long it stays in your system. But your mood swings might be because you are about to start. I'd give it a couple of weeks or so and if your period is a no show consult your doctor just to ease your mind. Stress can also be causeing it to be late too!!!

Well I suggest you either get a tubal or use the nuva ring. Taking the morning after pill should not be used as a form of birth control. Wait a week and take a pregnancy test if your menstrual cycle has not returned. Be more careful in the future so you do not end up with an unwanted pregnancy. Good luck

It could very well be that you are pregnant, but it could also be that your cycle has been thrown off because of the morning after pill. Get an at home pregnancy test first, and then, if you still haven't gotten your period, check with your doctor.

well even if you take the morning after pill- there is not really a baby until you're a month along and even then it is not a baby. I would change birth controls. I cannot take all kinds, but you should just go to a gyno and tell her and she can get a lower dose hormone BC. goodluck!

I suppose it depends on how long the hormone in the pill remains 'active'... but I would doubt you'd end up pregnant. The pill itself is usually (depending on the type) meant to prevent implantation or fertilization. If it was still at full strength in your system the next night, then it should have prevented conception.

THe morning after pill works for 48 hours, and sometime has the side effects you mentioned - irratable, upset stomach, can cause cramps(because your body is trying to get rid of everything)

Go buy an over the counter pregnancy test. That's the only way you will know for sure and it will be worth the piece of mind.

You could take a home pregnancy test. You should call your doctor for a blood test.
