I'm borrowing a Jetta. I tilted the small compartment in between the front two seats (above the hand brake) upright....not knowing that it doesn't come down easily. Did I break it? Can someone please tell me how to bring it back to its original position? Thanks! Help please!

Congratulations. You are officially having a "Seinfeld moment"

Try jiggling it a little while you pull it down. Relax, catch your breath, take a break. Try it again.

Well, you haven't told them about it so just bring it to the shop and the people will fix it!! Then just give them the car back and they will not even know anything happened!

No doubt the person you borrowed it from is aware of the problem and can tell you what to do. Ask them.

I would drive to your local VW dealer and ask them. They will know how to open that and I am sure they won't charge you for it. also who ever loaned you the car has probably had this problem for years and forgot to tell you about it,
