Ignore it. They can't do anything about it yet. (note the word YET)
They certainly can not do anything to your licence, but you may have problems next time you go back to France.

Some countries have reciprocal agreements for traffic tickets, but France and UK aren't one.

Watch your speed on toll roads as they can work out your speed from the time you take your ticket till the time you pay.

If you're in France with a U.K. number plate on your car, I'm pretty sure you won't even get a ticket sent to you in the post.

You were in a foreign country with a foreign car ... the French authorities wouldn't have your vehicle registration information or any of the particulars associated with your car or your number plate.

Even if they sent you a ticket in the post, you're back in Britain, and what are they really going to do about it??? They can't force you to pay.

The only problem would be if they sent you a ticket and you didn't pay, and then took your car back to France and then got pulled over by the cops and they punch you up on the computer and see an outstanding ticket.

Also you shouldn't worry about points against you because they just have your number plate on camera ... they have no idea who was driving, nor can they prove who was driving.

I know for a fact that here in Canada we only send speed camera tickets to cars with Canadian plates. For logistics purposes it's really a waste of time to send out tickets to other countries, because they can't really force you to pay them.

I'm 99.9999999999% sure you're in the clear.

Hope this helps.

by potential of all propose's ask for a replica of the calibration certificates, they are accessible on the HQ of all police forces. As somebody has talked approximately it could have been flash in basic terms yet i be attentive to the cameras we've in our tension in basic terms flash whilst there's a digicam in it as its "section in parcel" with the set up and does not flash and not using a digicam in there so it sort of feels you have been caught. At 30 MPH a newborn has a 20% risk of severe harm or dying whilst hit by potential of a motor vehicle. At 40 MPH this will strengthen to ninety% and the impact on there physique is comparable to them falling from a 4 storey intense construction and landing on concrete. subsequently why the shrink is desperate at 30 MPH by using huge strengthen of risk of harm to the guy hit by potential of the vehicle by using fact of that 10 MPH distinction that folk think of is acceptable, this is purely no longer.

Everything I've heard, and everything I can find online points to the same result: you're not in trouble if you get 'flashed' as it's called here.

There are laws where they CAN register it in the UK, but I'm not sure that they bother unless you were doing crazy speeds. Anyway, it would be cash not points.

The fine is guaranteed. I am not sure about the points.
