English. You always have to know how to talk and such (like right now!) Math is useful, but unless you have a career in it you probably only need to know the basic math fundamentals.

In my profession i use more english and i have found that you cant get too far in many professions without decent skills in English, unless you are planning on becoming an Engineer or scientist or a teacher you will not need to know much beyond basic math. I rarely use Algebra, geometry etc. But keep in mind that most majors in college have a Mathematics prerequisite which means you will have to at least know enough to pass college math regardless of your major. But in life in general you will always find a need for good grammar, spelling, formatting a paragraph, proper format of a letter, etc, it helps with everything from making your resume to writing reports for work to writing letters in your personal life.

In general, if you study English as your career, you will be poor. But if you take math and mostly use it in your career, your salary will be much better than in English.

All Math people can speak English, but not all English major people can do math.

As a history student, I use more English. Yet I constantly have to stretch for descriptive words because I have since lost all of my math vocabulary. Obviously, I wish I were better at both, perhaps that is why I am a history major.

It depends on what your job is. I thinkt that most people are speaking english all the time so english more. Unless you are taking a math class or have a job that uses mathematics then I think it is english.

If you mean the English we studied in school, then certainly the answer is Maths. I don't use an appreciation of poetry and literature in everyday life, while I use Mathematics all the time. If they taught us how to use the language, then perhaps I might use the information.

I use math more, I don't really have to think that much when it comes to english. You learn and it comes naturally, But with math theres always different numbers and new problems to figure out.......

I think math is all around us, and our mind is constantly calculating to maintain a homeostasis. It's sensing balance, temp, pH, conc, distance, speed, height, weight, force, push, pull, up, down, balancing chemical reactions in nanoseconds...you name it, our minds are always calculating to keep us in check. We use numbers for everything every day, like telephones, driving, money, planning, computers...it's just that we don't realize how much we are calculating.

One time a guy in Boston got in the quick checkout line with a full cart. The sign said "10 items or less." So the cashier said 'You're either from Harvard and you can't count, or MIT and you can't read"
