is it OK to Ware fake nails? will it look weird? even if so will it look ok on me i'm 11y/o?

Well, my 13 year old daughter got them, and she was fine.

But 11, well that's pushing it. I would wait for a couple years, but you can still get your nails painted a pretty pink or something fun!

It's worth the wait, because it'll look great.

Well i wouldnt suggest it as some people might think your trying way too hard, and its always good to look as natural as possible so people wil think ur naturally blessed but just enhancing a lil bit........However what u can do is buff them so they have a shiny, natural look and then you can also paint them a nice natural color, like a pearlized pink color, that would look really nice.... also you can put really neat designs on your nails using nail decals or the special nail brush (its the same nail polish but the brushes are different ) which u should be able to find in any beauty store....however if u really wana with the false nails, try gettin a professional 2 cover ur actual nails with acrylic powder which can be also known as acrylic overlays, its still bad for your nails but not as harsh and is easier to come off than the actual acrylic nails which takes a really long time to soak off......it basically forms a a layer over your actual nail and prevents the nail polish from stripping, i find that it allows the nail polish to last longer on this surface than on your actual nails.

I do not think it would look weird. However, I have gotten fake nails and I will not do it again because it really screws up your real nails and it takes quite a bit of time to get them normal again. I think you are too young to get fake nails. Maybe you should just get a manicure and/or try and grow your nails out. But, if you want fake nails then you can buy the press on ones at Walmart or Kmart or any drugstore. They have designs on them and can look very pretty. I hope this answer helps.

Fake nails can look great if the stylist who puts them on is talented/experienced. From my own personal experience, however, even if they are done very well, they will definitely make your natural nail extremely thin and weak (which can be painful). Fake nails can also cause nail and nailbed (under your fingernail) infections. Some stylists who use the electric nail buffer/file can go down too far into your natural nail as well (prior to application) and this can cause pain, infection, and general weakness of your natural nail. In either case (the nails done well or not), the thinness and weakness of your own nail will last until your natural nail grows out which is approximately 6 months.
