kool and the gang sung a song called Misled

Late at night, body's yearning
Restless night, want to be with you
Someone's playing in the garden
So enticing, he's sure to take a bite
I don't know what's come over me, yeah

She's as heavy as a Chevy
Pure excitement, misled
When she touches, can't resist her
I'm a puppet when she's playing
She's outgoing but I love her so
Misled

So I'm saying now

Baby baby, what's your claim to fame
Got me out of bed, heard you call my name
What's this crazy place you want to take me to
Tell me, what's the price if I go with you
My heart, my soul, my love
Is it the goal?
It's a thrill then I will
Be misled, be for real

Thought I knew her, this lady
Opportunist, misled
Always searching for adventure
Like Pandora's box, misled
And I don't know what I'm gonna do without her

Baby baby, what's your claim to fame
Got me out of bed, heard you call my name
What's this crazy place you want to take me to
Tell me, what's the price if I go with you
My heart, my soul, my love
Is it the goal?
It's a thrill then I will
Be misled, be for real

I've got this feeling and it's blocking my way
But I love her just the same, just the same
Oh yes I do

Misled, heard you call my name
Misled, what's your claim to fame
Misled, said I would understand
Misled, with a bomb of broken venus
Misled, not a word is said
Misled, baby, that's your name
Misled, what's what's your claim to me
My heart, my soul, my love
Is that goal?
It's a thrill then I will
Misled, won't you be fo real**

Baby, baby, wha

Ceine Dion also sung a song called Misled

I thought I knew you
Thought that I knew you well
We had a rhythm
But I guess you never can tell

Oh I learned early
Never to ignore the signs
You'll be forgiven
It ain't worth that much to my mind

Lovin' you (was) so easy
It's hard to say goodbye
But if it's the way it goes it goes

(Chorus)
Just a page in my history
Just another one of those mysteries
One more lover that used to be
If you think you're in my head
You been seriously misled

Loving somebody ain't your average 9 to 5
It takes conviction it takes a will to survive
I'm not somebody who commits the crime
And leaves the scene
But when I've been dissed
I don't spend much time on what might've been
I'm not about self-pity
Your love did me wrong
So I'm movin', movin' on

(Chorus)
Just a page in my history
Just another one of those mysteries
One more lover that used to be
If you think you're in my head
You been seriously misled

Fruvous Moxy has an excellent song called "I will Hold On". I'm not sure if it's the one your thinking of. Here's the lyrics: I'll hold you if you feel you'll fall I'll hold your hand if you just need a friend I'll hold the line so you can call I'll hold the feelings you don't want to end You know that it's true When I hold you There'll be no secrets I believe it I'll hold your tears if you must cry I'll hold your breath if that won't make you blue I'll hold the truth if you must lie I'll hold your joys till you know what to do You know that it's true When I hold you There are no secrets I believe it So I will hold on And if that's not what you're used to Then I may refuse to hold on Well maybe that's not what yuou're used to How can I refuse you? I'll hold the train till you get on I'll hold the mirror so you can fix your hair I'll hold the pain till it is gone And I'll hold my ground when people stop and stare You know that it's true When I held you There are no secrets You must believe it I'll hold the beating of my heart I'll hold my breath if you will tell me to I'll hold the hope that we won't part I'll hold our deaths so I can live with you You knew it was true When I held you There were no secrets I believed it So I will hold on And if that's not what you're used to Then I may refuse to hold on Well maybe that's not what you're used to How can I refuse you? So I will hold on And if that's not what you're used to Then I may refuse to hold on Well maybe that's not what you're used to How can I refuse you?

I believe that the song entitled "Misled" was sung by a female artist that goes by the name of...Celine Dion.

Not early 80's though...try early 90's or even mid 90's, for sure.

Good song overall, though.
