I would have to say, completely mismanaging the public and global reaction to the events of September 11, 2001.

When it happened, we had an American populace for the first time in a long time that was ready to unite under one cause. We were ready to drop partisan differences in order to truly make positive changes in the world. We said, as a people "Mr. Bush, what can we do?"

He told us to go out and buy stuff. Keep the economy going, buy a mocha.

We had a globe united in sympathy with us in our grieving over the lives lost. They said, "America, we stand with you. What has happened is wrong. We will help you rebuild and bring the responsible to justice."

In the 6 years since it happened, we have a world that has largely turned against us due in part to our "You agree with everything we do, or you are evil" foreign policy.

He was handed a globe changing event, and wasted it.

From which perspective???

The Patriot Act and the new Government agency Homeland Security.

First we already had a homeland security and it was asleep at the wheel. Next we already had a National Security Act that covered the issues addressed by the Patriot Act.

Basically Bush was saying I have no idea how Government works or what the existing laws are. So instead of looking stupid I'll say we don't have a branch of Government that protects people.

Go big Red Go

"Mission Accomplished", a military phrase associated with completing a mission, is in recent years particularly associated with a sign displayed on the USS Abraham Lincoln as President George W. Bush addressed the United States on May 1, 2003.

Bush stated at the time that this was the end to major combat operations in Iraq but this assertion — and the sign — became controversial after conflict in Iraq increased during the Iraqi insurgency. The vast majority of casualties, among both US, UK and Iraqi combatants, and from Iraqi civilians, occurred after the speech.

Charged into Iraq with no idea whatsoever what he was getting into. Had he said " We will still be there 4 years from now in the middle of a civil war with 3000 soldiers dead and over 1000 privite citizens employed by Halliburton killed. Also close to 30,000 maimed and no gain made" We would all said "Isn't there another avenue to go down, first?" All of our new saftey is from safeguards made here, not progress "there"

Pushed for any kind of "comprehensive immigration reform" and failing to pardon the 2 border patrol agents that were sent to jail for actually doing their jobs.

Failing to adaquately express his principles.

Maybe passing the Medicare Plan D system.

The worst thing Bush has done is launching America into a war based on lies and innuendo.

Probably his friendship with terrorism-supporting Saudis and his business associations in Texas with same as well as elsewhere in the world.
Read about the Carlyle Group.
That or the war, whichever has killed more innocent people or stolen more money.

3rd Place - "I'm gonna smoke bin Laden out of his hole"

2nd Place - Cut soldiers' pay and benefits TWICE in 6 years.

1st Place - Abrogated the Constitutional doctrine of HABEAS CORPUS, in the name of "The War on Terror".
