lol - I know half the population, easily, of the town we lived in before, (150,000 folks, some human, some not so human) and call about 3 of them friends. And that's the total of what I can handle at a time. Any more than 3 or 4 people in the area, and I can't keep up with what's being said...so I zone out and don't hear any of it!

I prefer only have a couple of close friends. I have a lot of what many would call acquaintances, but only my close friends really know me so I like to keep the number of them small!

I would prefer to have many but I only have 2.
My husband on the other hand claims to be a "loner" type and only hangs out with me and occasionally family and yet has a ton of friends that call the house for him.

I have one that I rarely see - we just email - and my husband doesn't hang out with anybody except me and our families. We like and prefer it that way; you can't trust many people these days.
I find it ironic when people say that once you get married you simply must have friends to do your own thing with - and then a year later, these "friends" are the one who cheat on you or your husband and bring about the divorce. That's why I don't pay attention to society - it's all screwed up.

Just a few for me. Groups encounter so many conflicts and trust is always at risk in large groups with so many personalities, etc. Yep. Definitely just a few.
