I like shows like Dead Like Me, 2400, Six Feet Under, Battle Star Galactica, Northern Exposure, Carnivale, Wonderfalls, and Dr. Who (the new one).
Please give me your recommendations I can rent from Netflix - I don't have time to always catch shows on TV, but I like to follow a good story.

I've been doing the '24' series starting with season 1 from Netflix. Fun to watch back to back.
I also recommend Stargate and Farscape series, both available on Netflix.

The Unit, Blade the series and Battlestar season 3 is the only ones im watching at the moment.

"The Office" - American TV series or British, both are good and so funny
"Veronica Mars" - I really like this show- I'd say Veronica has a similar humor to George from Dead like Me.
"Freaks and Geeks"
"Rescue Me"
"Weeds"
"24" - It leaves you hanging every episode, so if you have alot of time to watch many hours in a row - get this.
You can get all of these on netflix.

I love to watch Criminal Minds. It's about a team of experts from the BAU (Behavioral Analysis Unit) who go around the country bringing serial murderers to justice. Channel CBS 8pm Wednesday (PST).

Arrested Development its hilarious. one of the best shows to ever be on tv. i watched the 3 seasons from netflix

i recommend "the office". if you like comedy and stuff that is an AWESOME series. From what you described you like sci-fi and thrillers, but that series is really good. I also like ER and scrubs, haha so any show on NBC pretty much. good luck and i hope you try out that series. tell me what you think of it if you rent it. have a great day! :]

Lost is definitly one of the best choices.. that show is amazing also for humor The Office is hilarious and greys anatomy.. all great shows
