That little thingy in the middle of the 2 buttons on your mouse. How do I make the screen scroll up and down by rolling it?

I'm using Windows XP Professional.

You may need to configure your mouse. To start, make sure you have installed the driver (found on the cd if it came with one). If this does not work, click start, control panel, printers and other hardware, mouse. Click on the button that says “mouse.” A new window should appear. Click each of the tabs to see if there are any options involving scrolling. Look for “enable scrolling” , “allow scrolling” etc. If this still doesn’t work, you may need a new mouse (if you want to scroll). Hope this helps.

If it does not currently work, you may have to update the config in the mouse settings (in the Control Panel), or you may have to download and install the particular driver for the mouse.

If it isn't scrolling then find a blank space on the screen, click left and then you should be able to scroll. If not I don't know.
