Ask Bush????????

2007-02-05 09:27:03 · answer #1 · answered by ILSE 5 · 0 1

The US does not want a big war with anybody. Frankly if Iraq can find a way to create a stable government we can live with, we are out of there. The sooner, the better.

Iran does not have a history of invading or attacking other countries, so most of the problem we have with them has to with recent statements by their current administration threatening neighboring countries, i.e. - Israel. There is the little problem of making hostages of our diplomats back in the 70's but frankly that can be worked out.

What worries us is that Iran may give a nuclear weapon to a terrorist group. That frankly is the same worry we have about N. Korea. We have not made war in any other circumstances over other countries obtaining the bomb, even those we were not friendly with at the time, i.e. the USSR and China.

That in a nutshell is the problem. Iran having nuclear weapons for self defense is really not the issue any more than Pakistan having them is.

The perception that Iran supports terrorists coupled with Iran getting nuclear weapons IS an issue, and the current government of Iran's public statements are fueling it.

USA's position is simple.

We are concerned with our own self interest. Don't do anything to hurt us or our "good guy" image around the world.

Specifically, don't build nuclear bombs to nuke us or our friends. Don't lie about wanting it for civilian power, when you have more oil than you could ever use!

It's simple. Leave us alone and we'll leave you alone. We don't mess with Australia, Argentina, India, or Chile. We give many billions in foreign aid every year. We are a positive force on the globe.

The question to ask is this, "What has Iran been doing for the last two decades the every civilized, developed, and open government on Earth fears (enough to threaten social, economic, and military retaliation)"?

PS:

This is the best answer you are likely to get. It doesn't matter because it doesn't support your own belief. I suggest that you will never accept anything but your own opinion as "the best answer".

Try to be more open to opposing viewpoints and you will begin to see a world where peace is possible and we have unity in diversity.

Iran is the one who wants war, except they don't actually want war because they know they would lose.

they are just blowing smoke in order to create a bigger ego in the middle east. THE FACT is, iran's president is the one who compares to Hitler, who denies the holocaust, and wants to blow Israel off the map. I'm sick of americans who live in their posh society with their unstressful lifestyles acting like iran is equal, and not a war tarnished and dictated country. Go live over there and then you'll love bush.

We don't want crap from Iran. Ask your President what he wants. Sorry if his big mouth gets the rest of you in trouble and looking like idiots. Your president is making Iran hated just like our president is making our country hated. All we can do is see past "their differences" and try to respect and love one another.

We do not want your country to harm Israel AT ALL!!!!
We also know that the world would be much better off if radical countries with crazy leaders, like yours, were stripped of any power and necular wepons. I also think you're a troll.
