Ammonia is good for cleaning several different things but I swear by it for glass. That is the only thing that removes streaks, grease and dirt and doesn't leave the window or mirrow all streaky. Windex sucks next to it, so I always clean my car windows with ammonia because it doesn't create the streaks you can see later. It is also awesome at cleaning diamond jewelry.
