Yes. The type of disc you stick in and the type of cable to the TV are separate issues completely. HDMI is one type of cable. You could also use component or composite cables, depending on what hook-ups your TV has. Regardless of the cable, the content on the disc will be output to your TV and displayed. Note: Only component or HDMI cables can deliver HD, if you have an HD TV.
