She's eight months old and has been on solids (fruits, veggies, cereal, and yogurt) for two months now. I don't look fwd to feeding her meat b/c I know it will make her have stinkier diapers! lol But when should I introduce meat, and what should I start with? Thx!

I started with chicken and turkey at around 6 months. I would start with chicken and a vegetable or fruit. My daughter loved the apples and chicken. I don't like for her to have red meat. As long as your daughter has enough Iron you don't necessarily need meat yet. If you want to start real meat I did that at my pedis recommendation at 9 months. She mostly eats chicken because it's easy to shred. She has 2 teeth and chews very well!!

Well, it depends on the child really. I just started feeding my 9 month old son crackers and he has a difficult time not gagging on them. My daughter didn't start eating meat until after she was about 15 months old. If you want to start them earlier and you want to feed her the meat that you are eating from the table, you can pop it into a food processor or buy jarred meats. I actually made my own baby food so I didn't start my kids on meat until they were good a chewing. After she had most of her teeth. I started with chicken and fish stinks. Yes I meant to call them fish stinks and you will know why when you change that first diaper. = )

Hello, you should start introducing her now to meats. You can start with chicken then go down the line. just do the same thing you did with the other foods give her the same meat for a few days to make sure she is not allergic to it. I know what you mean about the stinky diapers ! lol good luck.

I gave my son little bits of shredded fowl and intensely small bits of hamburger at that age. He in basic terms had 2 tooth. the tooth used for chewing do no longer are available till around 2 years previous. She is sufficiently previous to attempt some meats - do no longer provide her a hunk of steak or the different 'harder' meats, yet small bits of softer meats are wonderful.

You can start feeding her the baby food meats now. My kids didn't like the jars of just meat so I always fed them the ones like chicken and apples.

you can start anytime now - just make sure it's pureed meat (whether u do it yourself or buy jarred food.
you can start with any kind of meat. my experience is that the babies like chicken first.
it's a new texture also so start with small amounts and you may want to mix it with a veggie or a creal.
my baby liked his chicken with applesauce or carrots at first

If she is tolerating solids well, I would start with broths and eggs and then ground meat. Should be no problem. Avoid fish.
