Sometimes you have to use all of them depending on which program the people you are connecting with are using. One super nice thing about Yahoo is that you can use MSN with it too. I've never been a fan of AIM, but if you do need it, I recommend using Trillian. I used that program for a few years until I didn't need AIM anymore. It was a pretty reliable program that you can download and use for free. (www.trillian.com)

It's really just a matter of taste and functionality. For the majority it also depends on what friends and family use for compatibility. Although the newer versions allow to mix in the friends list.

But It's cumbersome.

I use a multiprotocol messenger. I would recommend Trillian and GAIM. You can have all your messengers listed under one program, list your friends by program and use different skins to your own taste.

I believe it's Yahoo. You can do more with it than the others. AIM is my least favorite.

i use AIM, but i think that yahoo is better...ive used it once or twice but i think itz better than AIM...itz really your choice of what you like better. <3
