I'm wondering if any one knows how to adjust points to ensure I'm taking in enough calories & so on. Also if you've been in this situation and know what Weight Watchers would reccomend.

Thanks!!!

Well double congrats! (On the success and the pregnancy!) Usually pregnancy requires an additional 250-300 calories a day. You can speak with your OBGYN who will likely have a nutritionalist on staff to help you adjust your current menu.
Start taking folic acid, and your OB can place you on an appropriate prenatal vitamin. Many people shun others for dieting during pregnancy, but as long as you maintain a healthy, well balanced diet and do it responsibly- then good for you!
Again, congrats and best of luck!

It's not good to stay on Weight Watchers while pregnant. I was doing Nutrisystem for four months before I found out I was pregnant (3 pounds shy of losing 50 pounds, too!) and I went off the plan but I'm planning on going back after the baby's born. There's no harm in going off Weight Watchers but continue to eat healthy until the baby's born. That way you won't gain as much (unlike me with my first...I ate a bag of doritos and a box of oreo cookies by myself along with fast food) and will have less to take off after the birth. It should also be easier for you because new weight is easier to take off than old weight. Weight Watchers even has a plan for nursing mothers. Congratulations on your success with Weight Watchers and your pregnancy!

I am not on weight watchers but my mom is and has been doing great. You are not supposed to diet at all while pregnant, even if you read in your weight watchers book it says that if you are pregnant you cannot be on the diet, just wait until the baby is here and then you can get back on and there is also different points for while you are brestfeeding.

You shouldn't specifically try to diet and loose weight while pregnant. Just keep eating the healthy stuff Weight Watcher's has taught you this far. You can join back to Weight Watchers right after the baby is born and they even have a program specifically for nursing mothers.

You would be told to get off the point system because you need the calories. You don't need to go overboard but you will need at least 500 extra calories because the baby feeds from you and eating less will be bad for the baby and will make you feel unwell

Get off the diet. You can still eat healthy but you cannot be counting points anymore

Go off the diet until after the baby gets here. The whole system of "points" doesn't necessarily mean that you're eating healthier... you're just taking in less calories. Eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, and make sure you're getting enough calcium.

Tell your doctor that you're on this diet, and odds are you'll get the same advice. Dieting isn't safe when you're pregnant.

You shouldn't adjust your points
you should stop going and doing weight watchers while you are pregnant
you can keep eating healthy and you eat when you are hungry

P.s You're supposed to be fat while pregnant! Enjoy it! :)

You can not diet when you're pregnant.

You need to just eat right and pick up the diet after you're done with the pregnancy (or nursing if you choose to do that).

I actually lost weight during my pregnancy because the baby was using up everything I was taking in...I ate like a horse and still lost weight.

NO DIETS mama.

You're not going to be fitting into your "skinny jeans" anytime soon anyway...lol

Congratulations!
