Why do some ppl think telling someone to get a life makes them sound smart or more important or even think say

I don't think it makes them feel smart- I think most people are getting fed up hearing about ridiculous problems that are 100% the fault of the person involved in them. Getting a life would eliminate most of those problems. It's not an insult, it's advice.

well did they have a good reason for it? were they mad at you? Because maybe you need to stay out of there lives. most of the time it's cuz you crossed a line and butted in to much or you hurt there feelings. depends how and what you did!! so i think that it's a good context... and it should be herd and used!! sorry really can't smash on this one for you.... you can't say that you have never told anyone that before!!!!

i only say it to ppl on the internet that idk (like ppl idk on IM mostly) cause they can get sooo annoying. and like this one person wouldnt leave my friend alone on the internet (shes to nice to tell him to go away) so if i say that they go away. but i yeah i totally understand what you mean, especially if ppl u no are saying that. cause if its ppl u no who say that or ppl who r saying it just cuz, its really mean and it really hurts.
