Since your question asks for "all-time" and not just those within the last 10-20 years - I'm narrowing it down to 2.The Sound Of Music or Saturday Night Fever. The Sound Of Music may seem a bit corny, but most people know the songs when they hear them.Saturday Night Fever speaks for itself in that it represents the genre(disco)and the movie perfectly. Also, too many movie soundtracks today are not songs written for the film, but rather someone's favorite songs that they took from that artists catalog

"the crow". it has the cure, nine inch nails, rage against the machine, pantera, and stone temple pilots.
"resident evil apocalypse" had slipknot, the used, lacuna coil, a perfect circle, killswitch engage, cradle of filth, and rammstein.
those are two cd's with all-star track-lists.
now if you want something more poppy, then you might like Shrek 2. i can tolerate it if i'm in a good mood.

and the 50 first dates soundtrack destroyed "Lovesong" by the cure!! i lost so much respect for 311 after they did that!

Almost Famous. It was so good, that made a sequel soundtrack of songs from that time, but where not actually in the movie.

Space Jam had a lot of good songs on it, like I Believe I can Fly. Also had songs like Pump Up The Jam, Basketball Jones and a lot of other good songs.
