If you are referring to a boat it is for fishing. They usually drag nets. Actually spelled trawler.
There is a different kind of troller is someone who gets on a blog or message board and just answers questions in a way that is intended to provoke others. Yahoo had to close the comments section on Yahoo News because the trolls got out of control.
We all get excited from time to time and most people are in and out of these boards but a troller is on all day long just waiting for a chance to push people's buttons and start one ridiculous "conversation" after another.
I suspect these are mostly guys say arount 32 ish going on 12.
