was the grout sealed originally? if not it will be more difficult to clean. Any good grout cleaner with a little scrub should work fairly well such as products from HG grout cleaner or tile lab i found the HG cleaner works the best and requires to be mixed with water for varying strengths. You can also use a mild acid cleaner again tile lab makes one, be sure to read directions carefully and wear gloves. Be sure to seal the floor after getting it cleaned. We know someone that the shower floor grout was not sealed and after 5 years of use it looks terrible. Professional grout cleansers did not even penetrate it, the best thing that we found was to take some Soft Scrub with bleach and scrub into the grout, let set over night and then clean up the next morning with plain water. Proper maintenance is the key to keeping the grout looking good. When mopping the floor, use the least amount of water as possible, and dry the floor when done cleaning. You could consider having the floor professionally cleaned the first time, the cleaner should use what looks like a floor buffer that power scrubs the grout and sucks up the water as it goes, having it resealed and then it would be a whole lot easier to clean

I have white tile, white grout and a lot of in and out traffic. I put peroxide in a squeeze bottle and squeeze peroxide on any part of the grout that is stained or dirty, leave it set about 30 minutes and then mop floor as usual with Mr Clean or some such product, bleach and water. The floor is sanitized, shiny and the grout is white again.

I invested in a scum buster and it has a grout cleaning attachment. I use my cleaning solution on it and scrub it away-easy. I wiped up the dirty solution w/a paper towel.

For small stains, assuming you have white grout, a little bit of bleach, elbow grease and a toothbrush work wonders. The Clorox Bleach Pen is perfect for getting bleach in small areas because of the applicator.

I'm a huge fan of bleach because it's both effective and inexpensive.
