Technically, there is no charge to run. In theory, you could recruit volunteers to collect enough signatures to get on the ballot in all 50 states. Making yourself known to the voters is the expensive part.

Interesting that with billionaire nutcase George Soros backing Obama, even the inexperienced junior senator from Illinois is a possibility for the Presidency. That bothers me.
