Static cling is more common in the winter because the air is usually more dry in your home this time of year. Use dryer sheets in the dryer to help reduce static cling. (I like fragrance free ones) And you can also rub one on the clothes that are giving you problems outside the dryer. You can keep a dryer sheet in your pocket in case it gives you problems at work. That usually helps.

Winter and the drier weather can create static cling. Walmart and other discount stores recently started selling dryer balls. They are two spiky rubber balls that you put in the dryer. They work as a fabric softener. This will take care of it. Otherwise you can buy dryer sheets like Bounce. Fabric softener will take care of this problem for you.

Certain types of material are prone to retaining electric charges. I have a jacket that does this and I get electrocuted everytime I touch something metal. They make Static Guard that you can buy to spray your clothing with. It eliminates static cling. I'm also told that hair spray (aeresol not pump) will also help.

I would invest in a humidifier for your home. This usually happens when the heat kicks in. It dries out the air making static cling more noticeable.
