My fiancee is booked in for a 3-D foetal scan in a few weeks but recently we've heard rumours that risks are involved but no one can be specific about what they are can anyone help ?????

go to www.babyview.co.uk. it will show you scans that have been done, testimonials of other mums to be and answer all your worries. i had a 3-D scan done and it was amazing. i heard a few rumours about it harming the baby so i got on this site and it put my mind at ease. ive since had a healhy baby boy so it was fine for me. you really should take a look at it. hope it helps you and good luck with the baby

Apparently the ultrasound is quite noisy, likened to the volume of a an underground train coming into a station.
Also there is evidence that repeated ultrasound can increase the likely hood of left handedness in the child

It's better not to do it, just in case, unless you need to -you could put your baby at risk. Obviously you put yourself at risk when you walk outa the door, but there's no need to potentially screw up your baby: life is messed up enough already, so let him/her chill out for a bit

I don't think there are any risks involved. Why don't you look it up on a medical Internet site just to be sure?
