Unplug the cable from the computer and check that none of the pins have bent.

You may be able to straighten them with some needle nose pliers. But be careful they tend to snap very easily.

But its not dangerous.

Dangerous, no. It is not going to explode or anything like that.

In your monitor are three different "projectors" that put red, blue and green dots onto the screen to make the picture. If one of those projectors stops working, the monitor will turn a single color (most ften pink) like that.

It means that the monitor is dying and you will need to replace it. No fix. But it will not explode or anything.

Do you mean its showing on screen pink or there is a fault with it thats is making the hardware show pink?
Is it a flat screen monitor? This is quite common, sometimes they will show up green too. Problem is, it means its on its way out and youll need another one soon!
sorry!

It is dangerous for your eyes but not for your pc. Buy a new screen when you get a chance.

i doubt it is dangerous. Depending on how old it is, it might be on its last legs, so be prepared. I highly doubt it will explode or anything, it will probably just stop working eventually. In my experience, CRT monitors last anywhere from 5-7 years, but it varies. you can try to disconnect it and reconnect it and see if that fixes it, it might be a power anomaly, but probably not.

I don't think it's dangerous. It just is not that nice to use anymore. Try looking at the monitors connecting wires... maybe they need replaced?

Nope, just means the screen is starting to die... or you put a magnet up to the screen with also distorts all the color.

Not dangerous, but pretty annoying or pretty in pink.

Yes, it means your monitor is dying. I suggest replacing it, then it will be fine. Same thing happened to me, but mine turned green!

Well its not going to kill you. Seriously - I should imagine you have just knocked the contrast/colour button on your monitor.
