ds: loadsa games, AND you can now buy an mp3 feature for it so u can listen to music on it aswell (how ever much music u lyk, as it needs SD card)
ipod: 100s songs, 4 games?

well your comparing apples and oranges here you dont buy a walkman to do play video games and you dont buy an arcade style game to listen to music yes they both have these features but they are on completely differant levels the ds is designed to play video games as the ipod only has games that are as good as the ones on your cell phone so if oyu want to play games get the ds if you want to listen to music get an ipod if you really want both to be as good as another i know you already said this but the psp is the happy medium inbetween the two and it also has expandable memorey cards which if i believe correctly can hold way more music than the ds , even if they are ugly they are a way better machine i dont know if your the type thats apperance over quality but thats what your lokn at with the ds but hey if thats your thing fine decide what you'll use this mostly for i.e. listening to music while you jog or work or whatever or play games while waiting for the bus or plane or long car rides personally the ipod would be better for me as i really dont have the time to just sit and play games all the time thats why i have the x360 at home i play my games at home and travel with music so yea theres a view point for ya just some things to think about!

go for a psp. It plays games just like a DS and holds music like an Ipod. It also plays videos, can go online, and is small and portable. I know that's not one of your options listed but trust me PSP is the best way to go. Another thing is that an Ipod Video costs $250 new. A psp costs $200 new or $250 if you get it with the free game and free movie. This is what I would recommend.

iPod deffinately. There is a huge selection of ipods. The ds is not as good as the pod

choose ds lite (black) soo cool....funky and stylish......
much more entertaining than ipods (all dey do is look crap! lol)
