How does he do it? By being the biggest hypocrite in the world. He was writing the script on his private jet.

And answer to your second question: yes, he does believe in fairy tales.

The thing about Al Gore and maybe the whole Dem Party (and I am a lifelong member) is that we want to forget our own history. Al represented us at the Kyoto Accords and brought back the agreement to be signed on global warming. He and Clinton did not because they are on the industrial teat just as much as the Repubs. So he was there could have done something did not. Typical. And its why we end up with Repub Presidents. Hillary posted a question here last week asking us what we think she should do about health care. Thousands answered and thought she was Queen for a day. But the truth is she did this before, when she was the First Lady. Remember it was her major task, her mission in life, her way to help the babies. Did she? Nope. She had a Dem President and a Dem Congress and she backed off. So how many dumb asses believe her this time? Lots I bet. And its like Al Gore,. We are supposed to forget that he screwed this up once before. When I see people fawning over him for environmental positions it makes me want to puke. His personal and professional life is probably less green than W because at least W has a ranch and cattle, Gore just raises tobacco. (oh yeah he was against that too wasn't he?) And buys pollution credits so he can fly his jet and stink up the air. Al is a piece of work and the National Democratic Party has almost nothing to do with Dem voters, hence we got Bush...TWICE. Dems elected Bush because the DNC only nominates goof balls...gonna do it again, huh?

Let's face it, climate change is a fact. Al Gore's movie isn't based on facts though. Yes, scientists do agree the global temperatures are changing, no they do not agree on the cause. A point to keep in mind is that, despite the statements to the contrary, global warming and man's involvement in it is a theory!!

Reality is that the climate changes and has done so for 4.5 billion years. Another fact is that the globe is COOLER than it was been many times in the past. As a matter of fact, it is currently cooler than the average temperatures for the last 10 million years.

Another inconvienent truth is that CO2 is likely only a small part of the issue with climate change, if it has anything to do with it at all. The fact is that many times in history the climate grew much warmer when there was less CO2 in the atmosphere. Methane, produced by the oceans, the forests and cow farts, among other things, would contribute significantly more to global warming than CO2 due to its heat retention properties.

Still another point is that NOBODY has demonstrated reliably that climate change is a result of anything more than internal heat changes and external increases such as the solar output.

The eco-terrorists claiming to be trying to save the world omit a huge number of things in their claims. For a few points:
The actual global temperature increase over the last 100 years is less than 1 degree.
Right in the middle of the industrial revolution, when CO2 levels were highest the average temperatures DROPPED.
Last winter and this winter both saw record breaking cold temperatures in many parts of the world.
The climate models that all the global warming panic is predicated on have been repeatedly shown to be off by more than 100%, predicting temperature increases where the temperatures dropped or rainfal/snowfall changes where the opposite happens. The models don't work.

I think two things are happening here. Most environmentalists don't want anything to change. They expect the climate and all species of plants and animals to remain exactly the same forever. It isn't going to happen. Then, opportunists like Al Gore and others play on that ignorance to hype something to gain power for themselves by causing fear and panic.

In another 15 years they will be claiming an ice age again, like they were 20 years ago. Whatever is useful in manipulating the masses.

For the record, I have seen the movie and it was full of wild leaps of the imagination as well as pure fantasy.

I haven't seen the movie yet.. Are there Unicorns and Pixies in it or something? I was under the impression that global warming is a theory not a fairy tale.. You sound like an Atheist makin fun of the religious..

I do believe that this is an over-rated subject though.. Even if Al Gore and all these scientists are wrong about their "theory", it brings to the table a larger point. It's good for the U.S. and the rest of the world to start looking into alternatives for oil and wasteful practices. We already have the alternatives, why not implicate them?

There are some strange weather conditions occurring this year in the US. I suppose you can explain these conditions such as the tornadoes in Florida?

Al Gore is a dedicated human being that is making a difference in the world.

How did you type that question with a straight face? Have you been reading the scientific journals for the past decade? No you haven't. If you had (like I have) you'd realize that the SCIENTISTS, not the politicians or keyboard jockeys on Yahoo! Answers, have been talking about Global Warming as the fact it is.

I challenge you. I will select the river and you will drink from it if you dare. Let's see how much you deny environmental degredation then.

You just got PWN3D!!!!

It's An Inconvenient Truth. He can do with a straight face
because scientists all over the globe, oil companies &
Bush & co. are now agreeing with him.
Besides, even if you don't agree, what is wrong with wanting to
clean up your planet?

because Al Gore is almost as good of a liar as the clintons. Almost as mean as Hillary too. All of the rest of the agenda's were taken. I don't know why he isn't going after china for their major contribution to the pollution of the earth. Could it be that they've given him enough money already?
