My wife basically has the same color hair/body type as the person in the photo only with lighter skin and green eyes.

My wife is not into expensive jewelry (score for me ;-) just trying to find something trendy and hip.

Cute top...I would suggest something very simple and trendy. The shirt has some detail to it, not just a simple button up, or pull over. Therefore, a gawdy necklace is just going to offset the shirt in a negative way.

Depending on what pants she is wearing with it, you can go either gold or silver. Black pants - silver, brown pants - gold. Now, you can switch them up, but silver looks better with black, and gold looks better with brown (in my opinion - worked in jewelry for a couple of years).

As far as type of necklace, you will want something that will hit right at the tip of her cleavage or just a little bit higher.
