Feel blessed! I was throwing up 4 to 5 times a day for 5 months. I had my first at 19, and I wouldnt change a thing. Dont be scared, this is the most wonderful time of your life, at least it was for me, I loved being pregnant (except for the sickies) Congratulations!!!!!

It is perfectly normal to be scared!! I was scared with my first one too, even though I was 29 and had been around several pregnant women & babies. And different women have different/various degrees of "morning" sickness & some don't get sick at all. Since you don't say how far along you are, I won't say that you are completely out of the woods as far as sickness goes. But you may be one of the lucky ones that doesn't get sick at all or just a little bit. I felt nausous all day but more so in the afternoon than any other time didn't vomit much though. But certain food smells sure made me think I was going to, especially hamburger meat cooking, ooooweee~it was awful!!!

Congratulations on the pregnancy, I'm glad that you are excited even though it was unplanned. Best wishes and God bless you both!!

My wife and I just had our first baby 5 month ago. She had a difficult pregnancy and was sick almost the entire time. We discovered around the 8th month that the folic acid the doctor prescribed to her was making her sick because she took a 4 pills at once instead of spreading them out though the whole day.

We were both scared of what life would be like once the baby was born. It is hard when they are newborns and tiring, but now that she is 5 months old she is a lot of fun and I couldn't imagine my life without her.

So it is okay to be scared, just remember that no matter how hard things may seem there is an awesome reward to look forward to as you see your child grow.

Hay There,

I am 24 years old and I'm pregnant with my first baby and i was scared when i found out, it's a big thing becoming a mum. So you have every right to fell scared.
It's OK that your only feeling a little sick, some women dont feel sick at all. At night might just be your sick time, mine was the whole day. So you are very lucky.

Good luck

Gee, I hate that saying "knocked up". You are pregnant and having a beautiful baby! Smile and be happy. I know you might not have thought you'd get pregnant till you were 23, but, obviously you were having unprotected sex. It's bound to happen sooner or later, in your case it was sooner. Anyway, just make sure you go to your doctor regularly to avoid any complications ok? Things will be fine. As for the sickness part, everyone is different. I used to be just a little nauseous with one kid, but, with another kid, I'd be puking my guts out. Haha! I've had 5 kids. I got pregnant with my first one when I was 18, but, I unfortunatley lost it half way along. That's why its important to get prenatal care. I also have my kids very fast, so, thats why I got my last 2 induced. (I live out in the country and I didn't want to have them at home!) Anyway, just see your doctor regularly and enjoy your pregnancy!

You will be just fine. Everyone gets scared, doesnt matter if its your first or in my case 3rd. The best thing you can do is to take care of yourself, get to your ob each month, and protect the baby inside of you :) you will be just fine. Its normal to be sick all of the time and its normal to not be sick at all. I havent been sick at all with this baby and im 20 weeks pregnant and everything looks wonderful. Theres no right and wrong way to be pregnant. Theres symptoms people will have that you may not have. Just go with it, try not to worry and take care of yourself :) Goodluck and congrats!

sounds like you are lucky in the morning sickness dept, (unlike me, throwing up 30 to 50 times a day, in the hosp. for most of it) hopefully you will get to enjoy your pregnancy!
Congratulations, don't be scared, everything works out, you will be a good mommy just because you love your baby already, and there is a ton of help out there if you need food or financial aid, try calling a birthright center or something, I was blown away by what's out there!
And just think, when your little one goes off to college, you won't even be 40 yet!

I also heard that women who are having boys tend to get morning sickness. I am having a boy and I had morning sickness like you wouldn't believe. My sister is having a girl and never had morning sickness. Sure do wish I had her luck. If you don't get morning sickness, you are very lucky. It's not any fun at all. Congrats and Good luck.

I think you feel the sickness after about 3 or 4 weeks

but there are some lucky people out there, that don't get the morning sickness. You might be one.
