Us adults are out here. We're just hard to find since we're buried under all the childish antics.
I think that there are more kids than adults for a lot of reasons. But from reading questions in a bunch of the categories one reason is that it seems that teens are using Y!A as a place to ask adults all the embarassing questions that they're afraid to ask their parents. This scares me because some of the answers they get are harmful.
Adults also have questions they don't want to ask people they know because they're embarassing, but they have fewer of them and have other ways of getting the information, like actually taking the time to do an internet search.

I don't know. It seems that since there are so many adult categories I'd think Yahoo would screen kids out.

I am an adult. I am not a very smart adult, for I am sitting here wasting valuable time answering questions on YA. This site has become truly stupid...as you can see for yourself.

Because adults are mostly busy & tend to spend as little time as possible at PC ...so they prefer 2 get their required work done and get going...simple logic!!!!!!!!!

It is the catagories. They need to market an 18 and over that isn't geared toward orgasms. You usually have kiddy sites or sex sites and its harder than hell to get something inbetween. Yahoo doesn't quite do it.

It is just that most of the trolls out there have the minds of children.

no, there really seems to be infinately more children than adults. cute avatars, low-brow questions... these things appeal to kids. and to people like me who spend way too much time trying to educate them.
i'm 20, i dunno which catagory you'd put me in.
