Yes. Think about it, you're showing a homosexual-themed commercial to a NFL-based fanbase. Not smart.

I agree, it was very stupid --so is everyone who's assuming that people who didn't like it, or Prince, are homophobic (which isn't even a good word --who's afraid of homosexuals :D? it's not a phobia). The majority of football fans DON'T like Prince and WOULD NOT find that commercial appealing. Why do you think there are so many slap-stick beer commercials or "tough" truck commericals & rap artists or rock bands for half-time? Because that's what appeals to the fans. The NFL just doesn't care about us anymore and does whatever the can get the most money from (ie: saving money by hiring washed up Prince)

Everyone groaned where I was watching it and no one laughed. I don't know when I'll eat a snickers again.

UPDATE: Wow, I'm a homophobe for not supporting companies that make annoying commercials. Am I a homophobe for not going to Carl's Jr. because of their annoying commercials or a slob-phobe? Am I a homophobe for not switching to geiko insurance because of their annoying commercials or a.... ???phobe?
