My 8 month old son just got his 3rd tooth last night and it's another one on the bottom, he has none on the top. I always thought that they get their 2 top and bottom ones around the same time, I've never seen a baby with 3 teeth on the bottom and none on the top. Is there anything I should be concerned about, or am I just overthinking things?

No they grow at their own rate. My son had two bottom teeth grow in before the 2 top ones. He is now 7 and has only lost 1 tooth so far and I had gotten a little concerned with that but the dentist said it was ok.

i watch a little girl who is 12 months old and she only has 2 teeth on the bottom and none on top, so i think its just what happens some times. don't be concerned about it.

I wouldn't be concerned right now. Kids don't get their teeth in when the 'book' says they do - all kids are different. I would mention it to his pediatrician at his 9 month well check and see what they say.

Overthinking things =) remember everybaby is different... does he try chewing on anything? try taking a gum massager(gum/baby toothbrush) and rub his top gum area twice a day... this will encourage his teeth buds to come out!... this helped on my babies!!

Nothing to be concerned about mamma... You're little guy is just doing his own thing...lol.

I think you're over thinking it, but if it will make you feel better, see what the doctor thinks...but I'm sure you're little guy is just fine.

:)
