I think you should open such a debate on a forum unique to African Americans, Blacks, Colored, Negroes, all of which we are and have been, like Black America Web.com. To ask such a question HERE, just opens a controversial topic to a lot of people who have no investment in responding with your dignity in mind.

Honestly, I've had more issues with the fact that culturally, I'm not stereotypical in that aspect, which used to cause me a lot more grief when I was younger, less comfortable in my skin, than whatever moniker I'd accepted. I like Black, it's a nice, all purpose term, ***** and coloured are pejorative but I can appreciate their authenticity; at least it's clear what they mean, depending on who is using them. I don't get down with African-American too much, it's politically correct and states the obvious; of course I'm a descendant of an African in America what the heck what else would I be?? Technically, we're all mixed my grandmother was part Indian I'm sure there's something else in there somewhere. I don't loose any sleep over it who cares what we call each other ...

I'm sorry but I'm not sure I understand what in the world you're talking about.
I don't mind being called Black, African-American, etc. It's funny that there are more Black people who get offended when they're called African, *****, or African American than they do about being called, "****a" by people in or outside our race.

I am black
i dislike being called colored cause im not laundry.
Being called ***** by a white person is racism.
Africa is my original heritige but its so remote that i would use
it my self.(call my self african)
I guess from all of these i´d be cool with black,
cause blacks bad.

I don't feel mixed at all. I am not what people call me; I am what I call myself.
Keeping up with what others want us to be will get us all mixed up. Your identity comes from who you are on the inside and what you believe about yourself.
