Once released from the ovary, the egg lives 12-24 hours. This is the only time you can get pregnant.

I have read in a magazine published by American Baby, that a ripened egg will live for about a day. If you have had intercourse within the last 48 hours, the egg may become fertilized.

I hope that this information will be of use to you. Good luck.

Once the egg is released its viable for 24 hours. You also have 2 days before and 2 days after, as sperm stays alive for 3-5 days.

here is a site with an ovulation calculator, you put inthe first day of your previous period and how long your cycle is and it'll estimate when you ovulate http://pregnancy.about.com/cs/gettingpregnant/l/blcalovulate.htm

Once released, the egg can survive for up to 24 hours http://www.medindia.net/patients/patientinfo/ovulation.htm
