www.crucial.com has a program called the Configurator, and it will tell you everything about your ram, and what kinds of upgrades you can do, including drives, cd's, dvd's, etc..
My Computer properties don't tell you all you need to know..

If you are just looking to replace your memory, then the other posts about going to sites like Crucial are fine. If you want details on the memory you already have in the system, an application called Belarc Advisor is a nice application for non-commercial usage. Belarc Advisor will display detailed information that can be useful if you don't have for example a Dell, Gateway, HP, etc.... The link to the application is http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

If you mean "what size", In M/S XP just hover your mouse over your main drive ( usually C drive) in the My Computer icon. It will automatically appear in a dropdown type box.

www.crucial.com. Their site seems to be going through some maintenance today, so you may need to be patient.
