Cameras in your face. Wiretapping your conversations. RFID. Banning free speech. Tasersing American citizens. WMD in Iraq. Etc...

All this and more and he claims his tenure as president was joyous.

I've been around for a long time, and I have to say it's been this way for a long time. It's the two party system, and the people who tend to blame the President for everything. I figure no President could ever do everything people wanted. So, I try not to be so skeptical. Nowdays we have TV, radio, and the internet so people can learn a lot more about what's going on if they want to. We'll never convince the dyed in the wool Republicans and Democrats of anything though.

I don't think that people relize what the president actually does. He doesn't pass all the laws. Even if he vetos them, Congress can still pass them. Don't blame bush for everything. We expect the president to be perfect and agree with everyone. I think his plan is correct. The Democrats are the ones making such a big fuss about him anyways. It'll be the same way if a democrat is president in 08, republicans will complain.

I think we believe our president should be perfect and call
proposals the way we want them called. No president will
ever be perfect and no president will ever vote for everything
we want passed. They usually show their imperfection some
where during their term in office, and we lose faith. They may
vote for something we're against, and we lose faith. They may
mispronounce a word, and the media jumps on it. They are all
just human so they will make mistakes. The media willl point
out all their flaws as soon as they happen, as each want to
be the first to report. The average person then hears so much
negative about presidents, that they begin to hate them. So my
answer is "because of all the negativism" in the media.

It like getting a bad berger at McDonald's - It's easier to just blame Ronald McDonald for the screw ups.

It's because everyone wants the President to do exactly what they want. Unfortunately, no President can please everyone.
