An entertainment show recently said that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie where now Americian royality. No offense to either one, but do we need royality in the U.S.

I believe the desire to provide worshipful adoration to (at least metaphorical) royalty is a basic human commonality. We almost all long for people so awesome that we (at least metaphorically) bow down to them. So, yes, we need (metaphorical) royalty in the US.

There already exists American Royalty without an American monarchy. Look at Hollywood, for Christ's sake!!

Americans, and everyone else, will always idolize someone. It's in their nature.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will someday be passed by, yet, another couple, or family. Look at the Kennedy's. All they're now famous for is their Family Curse.

It's a fad.....get over it, and stop listening to the stupid media all the time--GEEZ!!

I think they should pass the American Royalty Crown around. For instance, give it to a different Hollywood couple every six months. Because in six months PittJolie might not be together. They can have a ceremony and pass it on to the next Royal couple. I think TomKat has had it already.

Hollywood needs a panel, maybe the American Idol panel could do the Royal couple too. That would be interesting.

Better tell the Kennedys. As true American Royals, they've been above the law, and beyond its reach, for generations.
