Imagine you don't really rate him - that he's just done something really goofy or embarrassing, like come out of the bathroom with his zipper down, or has something stuck in his teeth. He'll seem more normal and not the 'fantasy' that he seems right now. He's no better than you imagine him to be. You can only feel embarrassed if you think he is above you and that he will judge you.
Also, try breathing slowly to relax yourself and think of something easy to talk about before you see him, then you won't be as likely to clam up.

I really feel for you. I'm a little better now, but when I was at school I was a terrible blusher. When I was about 15 I had a huge crush on this boy and everytime he came near me let alone spoke to me i lit up the room with my red face. It doesn't make it easier when your friends point it out to you that you are like a beacon. I think you should get up the courage, which I know is very hard, and go straight up to him and talk to him. Doesn't matter what about, but once you have made the decision to talk to him, you are in control of the situation and that sometimes helps calm you down. Act confident, maybe even make a joke to him about the fact you are blushing.

well you obviously blushing in front of your crush for a reason !!
now have you told him how you feel, maybe telling this guy will stop you blushing in front of this guy as of then coz you may find that he may like you to. Life is well to short to be getting all embarrassed. How I deal with situations like that is by just by idenifing what the problem is and then jumping in at the deep end for e.g asking the guy out . once you have done that you know where you stand with him then if he donsnt like you (fingers crossed it dose) then you can move on

You are blushing because you like him, and you are nervous about telling him. If you have been blushing, then him probably knows you like him, so there is not harm in asking him out! You blush because you are nervous, and there is no way to cure nevousness - so just ask him out!
