Does anyone know of any recent viruses or maybe spyware that quickly uses all free memory on you computer? My boyfriend has had this problem for maybe a week or two and we really are running out of ideas. Many system restores and anti virus programs and things of that nature will not run as they need spaces to do so, creating logs as the need to.

Anyone have any ideas or maybe resources we might be able to check out?

Try running Windows in Safe Mode then running the virus programs. You can do this by rebooting and pressing one of the F keys at the appropriate time. It will tell you what F key to press in the top right hand corner of the screen during reboot.

It could be anything really. Try rebooting into safemode (http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml) with networking support. If you can get a stable system run an online virus scanner (http://housecall.trendmicro.com) and see if it can clean it up.
