you just have to delete it. before you actually select the program, hit options instead and choose delete

Log off the network to keep the messages away most cell phones come with Yahoo or AOL IM. You can also download it as well. If it came preinstalled you're stuck with it....log off to keep the messages away.

General rule is that if it is on you phone, it was built into it. I had a black Razr from Cingular and it was on the home screen. I never used it. How to remove it? Not sure that it can be done.
